About Moonbeam Astronomy Club

A volunteer astronomy club built on shared nights under the sky.

Moonbeam started as a small group of neighbors comparing notes after evening skywatchs. It grew into a calm community where questions are welcome, observations are shared, and learning happens together at a comfortable pace.

We are fully volunteer-led and beginner-friendly. Some members bring years of telescope experience, others arrive for their first constellation walk, and both are equally at home here.

Our focus is simple: regular local skywatching, careful observation notes, and practical guides that help more people enjoy the night sky with confidence and curiosity.

Our shared approach

How we practice stargazing together

These values shape each meetup, guide, and observation note so everyone can explore the night sky with confidence and wonder.

Curiosity first

We ask open questions about what we see before we rush to conclusions.

Patient observing

We let our eyes adjust, revisit the same patch of sky, and notice more over time.

Shared learning

Beginners and longtime members trade tips, charts, and sightings as peers.

Open skies for all

We keep language approachable so everyone feels welcome under the same sky.
